Our proposal is to give the message of not smoking near a baby is to protect their health and well-being. Cigarette smoke contains more than 7,000 chemicals, many of which are toxic and carcinogenic. Babies are especially vulnerable to the negative effects of secondhand smoke because their immune and respiratory systems are not yet fully developed.
